End of an era After lengthy discussions the band Changer has decided to break up, after 8 years of existence. Uncontrollable internal circumstances drive us to this decision and we deeply regret this coming up at such a bad time - specially with the recording of our new album just around the corner.
The band has been active for almost 8 years in various forms and leaves behind two full albums, two EP's, and countless gigs both in Iceland and abroad. Changer has had the privilege of supporting bands like Mastodon, Cannibal Corpse, Rotting Christ, Shai Hulud, Amon Amarth, Scarve, HateSphere and countless more, and we'd like to use the chance and give a big shout out to those bands for good times. Also in order is big thanks to our former members, our crews & helping hands who are far too many to list here. Lastly, we'd like to thank our fans who are ultimately the fuel that kept us going for all this time.
There comes a time, all clichés aside, where all journeys must end.

Changes Hi everyone.
This may come as a surprise for many of you, but here goes: Changer and Gisli have gone separate ways. This has happened because of the age-old musical differences issue, and the split is on very good terms on behalf of both parties. Gisli’s last show with us will be on August 26th, when we’ll be supporting Rotting Christ. It’s an all ages show, so none of you have any excuse to sit at home that night! We’re really looking forward to that show, and also to see and hear where Gisli will turn up next.
In other news... We’re currently looking for a new bass player, so interested parties can contact us in any way they can. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 07/08/2007
Back again from Eistnaflug - merchandise almost sold out! Hi everybody.
We have safely returned from Neskaupstadur, where we played in front of countless crazy metalheads last Saturday. Great gig, even if Joi couldn't play the last song with us because of some guitar problems.
The news are:
Scenes CD is sold out!
Breed The Lies CD is sold out!
New t-shirts! Buy or die! As you can see to the right, we have at last made new t-shirts for you lot. Our logo, skull and blood. It can't get any more metal than this! Haha!

Changer to support Cannibal Corpse It's official! Cannibal Corpse are coming to Iceland this summer and will play two shows at Nasa, June 30th and July 1st. Changer will be supporting them, along with Minus, on June 30th. See details in the gigs section to the right. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 12/03/2007
New track & member! We have a new song up called "Cauterize Your Eyes" on our myspace website. The track is from our 2006 demo and is one of the tracks to be featured on our full album to be released this year, or as soon as we have secured a label for it's release.
In other news, we've found a replacement guitarist for Fannar (who left the group late 2006 to pursue other musical interests). The replacement comes in form of Johann's brother, Unnar. He bested the other applicants for the job and it will surely feel good to take the stage as a 5-piece again. Be on the lookout for that in the near future. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 18/01/2007
The departed Headline of the week: Changer and Fannar go separate ways.
After one great year, Changer have parted ways with guitarist Fannar. The split is on good terms on both sides, and we wish Fannar all the very best of fortune with both Denver and Cliff Clavin.
Guitarists interested in trying out for the empty guitarist slot are urged to contact the band through all avaliable sources as soon as possible, since there are some pretty interesting things in the works! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 09/12/2006
Changer news We spent the last weekend working our arses off. Saturday was spent filming the new video for Recaptured Sanity, and that took it's toll. Gussi, our film-maker et al, told us that we had played the track 49 times! ...no wonder some of us can't stand the song for the time being, haha... ;)
Then on Sunday we played a gig at Gamla bókasafnið in Hafnarfjörður, and it was great! Always a pleasure playing live. We have kind of missed it, actually.
Iceland Airwaves Changer will be appearing at this year's edition of Iceland Airwaves.
We'll be playing on Saturday at our old home, Grand Rokk, at 00:30.
...better be there! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 14/09/2006
